General Dentistry
We put great emphasis on preventative measures. Regular dental check ups help to prevent treatments and to identify problems early, making treatment simple and straightforward.
The best quality materials are used to carry out treatments and we are dedicated to learning and introducing new technology in the interest of our patients.
During our routine dental check ups, the dentists will check the soft tissues inside and around the mouth, carry out an oral cancer screening, check all teeth and gums and take any radiographs which are necessary.
Individual Maintenance Hygiene Appointments
Our Hygienists, Leah and Hannah, are committed to giving our patients knowledge on how to prevent and manage periodontal (gum) disease, according to your individual needs. whether you have overcrowded teeth, dentures, bridges, crowns or implants.
They will help you get the most out of your toothbrush, be it manual or electric, and how to keep the interdental spaces clean.
A simple scale and polish usually entails the removal of hard bacterial and soft deposits from all tooth surfaces, removal of dietary staining and a thorough polish to remove further staining leaving the mouth clean and fresh.
Periodontal assessments will take place in all routine dental examinations.
Tooth Whitening
eeth whitening is a cosmetic treatment which involves bleaching your teeth to make them lighter.
You might consider teeth whitening for different reasons. Your teeth can lose their whiteness with age but can also become stained by smoking or drinking lots of tea, coffee or red wine.
Fortunately, our professional whitening treatments quickly and safely remove stains, without damaging your teeth. We’ve seen many patients grow in confidence thanks to a brighter, whiter smile.
Dental Implants
Implants are titanium screws that are placed in your jaw bone (in place of your missing tooth). Once an implant has been placed and has integrated successfully, a crown or bridge can be fitted to act as your normal tooth. You can also use implants to stabilise dentures and help keep them in place.
Implants are a great way to replace missing teeth. However, they can only be placed if there is enough bone. When we lose teeth, the bone around gradually disappears. This doesn't mean you wont be able to have implants placed, it means you may need to have bone grafting before the placement of the implant screw.
